War Eagle from the Atlanta Auburn Club!

Greetings!

We have received a number of queries from metro Atlanta Auburn Tigers on what they can do to help in the wake of the deadly tornadoes that cut across Alabama and Georgia on Wednesday night.

There are TWO Auburn Red Cross funds set up to help victims and both can currently be accessed from the home page of the Auburn website

Here are the direct links to both of those relief funds:

Please share both of these links with your Auburn friends. This is the best way to help... right now.

As opportunities present themselves for volunteering, we will let everyone know - but when first responders (state, federal, etc) are still looking for people who are missing/dead, and are assessing the damage and long-term needs, we want to comply with their requests that they take the lead on this. This is what they do best. And this is why cash donations are so important and so welcome.

If you or someone you know has found or lost a pet in Georgia because of the tornadoes, be sure to check out this Facbook page: https://www.facebook.com/lostandfoundpetsingeorgiatornados

There is also another Facebook page that is devoted to reuniting families with their lost photos and documents that got sucked into the tornadoes and deposited all over the region. You can find them here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pictures-and-Documents-found-after-the-April-27-2011-Tornadoes/162443980482277

Coach Chizik and members of the Auburn football team and athletic department staff went to Cullman and Pleasant Grove on Friday. Here is a link to coverage of that

The Bama in Atlanta alumni club told us yesterday they are holding a fundraiser to support those affected by the tornadoes in Tuscaloosa. It is today (April 30) at Hudson Grille Midtown, starting at 3:00PM. 100% of proceeds from the sale of Bama in Atlanta merchandise, as well 100% of sales of Sam Adams beer will go to relief efforts.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please send us an email. The link is below.

Separately, we have also received separate queries asking about the photos from our Tiger Trek Atlanta event on Monday. Village Photographers got us the link yesterday.

Pictures may be viewed and ordered at http://www.villagephotographers.com/ Click on the link for "special events" and then find the link for Atlanta Auburn Club. Enter the password WAREAGLE to view both the Trophy Pictures and the candid shots from our event. A portion of all picture sales will benefit the Atlanta Auburn Club Scholarship Fund.
