SPECIAL FUNDRAISING EFFORT FOR THE TOOMER'S FUND
The Atlanta Auburn Club is partnering with Buck Jones Nursery, which was founded by AU grad Arthur A. "Buck" Jones, to raise awareness and some money for the Toomer's Fund! The Live Oak trees that have become a tradition at our event will be part of our silent auction this year. Each of these trees is about 6 years old and about 10'-12' in height. They will be in 30-gallon containers and are about 2" in caliper (diameter). Bidding for each tree will start at $150/each. Winners do not have to transport the trees from the hall after our event. Pickup or delivery can be arranged through the club and Buck Jones. While we remain optimistic that our beloved trees at Toomer's Corner will be saved, we believe that the only answer to what happened is to spread Auburn's deeply rooted tradition & spirit ...far & wide!
Note from Buck Jones Nursery: Live Oaks are evergreens in warmer climates; but here in metro Atlanta, they will lose their leaves in the winter and leaf out again in the Spring, like dogwoods, oaks etc.
We still have room for some Auburn vendors -- for registration information, contact the club at: communications@atlantaauburnclub.org
