 Three days after A-Day on Tuesday, April 20, Auburn
Head Football Coach Gene Chizik is coming to Atlanta--the first stop on his "TIGER TREK" tour.
Make plans to join the AAC at the Cobb Galleria Centre for this big Fan Fest-style event, which raises money for our 501(c)(3) Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Fund.

there will be some great merchandise available for purchase (for yourself, graduation gifts, Mother's Day, etc.). Among the vendors: Tiger Rags, Alumni Hall, Milo's Famous Tea, the Auburn Athletic Department, the Hotel at Auburn University, Hampton Inn (Auburn), the Auburn Alumni Association, Auburn and Opelika Tourism Bureau....and more!

AAC will also be holding its BIG annual Silent Auction, which benefits our
501(c)(3) scholarship fund. The wide variety of items up for bid include sports memorabilia, gift certificates, Auburn fan items, gift baskets,
hotel stays, an Auburn
child's rocker, a personal financial plan ($1,000 value), plus lots, lots more.... including LASIK

Game Day attire is most

 Doors open at 5pm - Tiger Walk starts at 6pm and will be followed by autographs - the program starts at 7pm. (Please note: In a bid to keep the autograph
line moving that night, there will be a limit of one autograph item per
person)
We are expecting a large turnout for this event. In order for us to
plan enough cash bars and food vendors (and avoid long lines), we really need a reliable head
count.

It's Another Auburn Paint Day at Just For Giggles on May 2
Pick Your Own Special AU Project & Join Us for some Wine & "War Eagle!"
The Atlanta Auburn Club is headed back to Just For Giggles for some more Auburn painting fun in May. So come out and paint something for yourself, or to give as a gift (Mother's Day will be right around the corner).
As we did last Fall, you can choose which paint project you want to do that day. Options include: Painting Aubie or
Samford Hall on canvas, painting Auburn wine glasses, or creating an
Auburn chalkboard plate!
And don't be timid! We've found that everyone has an inner artist.... these classes are a lot of fun. So, come with family, friends, or on your own. Children (accompanied by an adult) can also participate.
Everyone is welcome to bring their own "beverage", cheese, crackers...whatever! We'll also have some Auburn goodies too.

April 20-21. This fair will focus specifically on the engineering field, and users will have access to positions from entry level to seasoned professionals.

Get Involved
There
are nearly 100 local Auburn Clubs throughout the country, and through
these groups alums have the opportunity to participate in various
fund-raising activities either directly for their local club
scholarship or towards the Association's Endowed Scholarship. In
2005-2006, more than $178,000 was raised by local clubs for students in
their areas to attend Auburn.
How else can I give?
Just
make your tax-deductible contribution to the 'Auburn University
Foundation', designating the Atlanta Auburn Club Endowment Fund in the "Notes" line of your check. Or if you
prefer, give online and specify the Atlanta Auburn Club Endowment or the AAC's Roy B. Sewell Annual club scholarship in the
'note other gift area here' space.

Message from The Atlanta Auburn Club
The Atlanta Auburn Club has joined the Auburn Alumni Association's new UNITY membership program. And we jumped in early!
 What does this mean for you?
If you are already a Life or Annual Member of the Auburn Alumni Association, your local membership in the Atlanta club is now also included. It also means that when joining or renewing, you will be asked to designate your local club. It also means less overall confusion over whether you have paid dues as a member of the national alumni association - or to your local club.
What does this mean for our club?
Local dues supported our club's operating costs for websites and email hosting, and it also helped us have the cash on hand for deposits for our big events. As a club, we will now have to find another way to raise that money.
How can you help us?
Most importantly, please choose the Atlanta club - code: MUATL - when joining/renewing membership in the Auburn Alumni Association. You can do it online by clicking here Membership in the association is not only tax-deductible, a portion of *new* Annual/Life memberships and Annual Renewals supports the Atlanta Auburn Club's scholarship fund. But you must list our code MUATL -
You can also support the Atlanta Auburn Club by attending our events and scholarship fundraisers, and making a tax-deductible donation to our 501(c)(3) scholarship fund, which supports both annual and endowed scholarship efforts for students from the metro area.
In the past year, we have gotten more queries about AAC scholarships than at any other time. But like most charities, we have also been hit hard by this economy. We need your support like never before - and we hope to see one of our biggest crowds ever for the Tiger Trek event with Coach Chizik.
