Another BIG Night on TV Across Georgia for the AAC & Auburn
Join us this week - March 11 - for our Annual Visit to Georgia Public Broadcasting's TV Studios!

image

Join the Atlanta Auburn Club on LIVE TV for one of our MOST Popular Community Service Events!!

Several years ago, the AAC made it's first TV appearance on Georgia Public Broadcasting, and the rest - as they say - is history! This event is one of the greatest nights of fun on television that you will ever have with your Auburn family! It's a great cause -- and it's also a HUGE PR bonanza for all Auburn Tigers in the state of Georgia, as well as Auburn University.

Join us on Thursday, March 11 from 6:15-10:30pm as we return to the GPB TV Studios on 14th Street (just off the Georgia Tech campus) to help answer telephones for their March Pledge Drive.

To register for this event, you MUST contact the AAC's Lee Bryan so that he can get you on the list! Email: lee@leebryan.us

This is an ALL Auburn - ALL Orange event for the Atlanta Auburn Club, so all volunteers are asked to wear their game day finest (Orange looks great in the studio!). ALL volunteers must be at the studio by 6:15p. All volunteers receive a catered meal provided by Carole Parks Catering Company, free parking and training.

Directions to GPB can be found here: http://www.gpb.org/about/directions

If you cannot join us, be sure to tune-in or set your TiVo -- the programming that night is scheduled to be Michael Buble.

This broadcast is seen statewide, and also in neighboring states: South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and....Alabama, including Auburn University! So tell your friends and family!
To view a pdf of the map of stations that will carry this broadcast, check this link: http://www.gpb.org/television

Occasionally the AAC will share emails that we have have received

imageHi. My name is Ginny Scott and I live in Memphis, TN.  I sat next to a couple from Atlanta today at the Outback Bowl in the top row of section 236.  The lady mentioned they are members of the Atlanta Auburn Club, but I don't know their names.  The gentleman left his binoculars in the seat when he left.  By the time I noticed them it had been several minutes since they left.  I decided to bring them with me and see if your club could send an email to your members about recovering the missing binoculars.  If so, they can contact me at auginny@aol.com or call me on my cell at 901-463-0664 and we can make arrangements to return them. Thanks for your help.  War Eagle!!

Volunteers Needed to Help Work at Hydration Station for March 21 Race

logo

The Atlanta Auburn Club is partnering with our friends at Rally Foundation for the ING Georgia Marathon and Half-Marathon on Sunday, March 21.... and we're looking for some volunteers!

We can help Rally Foundation win the $1,000 prize in the Hydration Station Challenge. A number of non-profit groups are competing for the prize this year, and part of the judging is based on the number of volunteers at each station and how much encouragement and cheering the volunteers provide the runners. Click here to read more.

There are two shifts to choose from: 5am-10am and 10am-3pm. Volunteers will keep water poured in cups, pass out cups to passing runners and - most importantly - cheer the runners on! The second shift will also have clean-up at the conclusion of the race. All volunteers will get Rally T-shirts (and we hope you'll wear your Auburn hats!)

And if you are already planning to run in the race, please support this ALL AUBURN effort by voting for Rally when you reach the finish line!

Atlanta-based Rally Foundation, which was founded by an Auburn alum and includes the involvement of A LOT of AU alumni, helps fund childhood cancer research nationwide. You can read more about all the great work Rally is doing, and all the great people supporting this effort --- Click Here to Rally On!

To be part of the AAC-Rally Team: Send one email copying both Ginger (AAC) & Bryan (Rally):  gingerf4au@aol.com - bryan@rallyfoundation.org - Please include your full name, preferred shift time, email address, cell phone # and t-shirt size.
