War Eagle! It's still January and already 2010 is shaping up to be an exciting year for the Atlanta Auburn Club. Our Thrashers outings in December and early January were so successful that Atlanta Spirit is working with us for even more great discounts --- this time for the Hawks & the Thrashers! Be sure to check the details below, and Friday's Hawks-Celtics game is on the list!
The Atlanta Auburn Club is also teaming with Rally Foundation for the ING Georgia Marathon. Details on this are also below.
Plus, the AAC's Game Day event with Coach Chizik on Tuesday, April 20 will be back at the Cobb Galleria Convention Center! Coach Rocker told us (several times!) last year that this was the best event ever.... saying he felt like it was an SEC Fan Fest, except ALL AUBURN! With Coach Chizik making his first visit as Head Coach to Atlanta, we want to have our biggest crowd ever to welcome him! And right now, you can help us! AAC Teams with Rally Foundation for ING Georgia Marathon
Volunteers Needed to Help Work at Hydration Station for March 21 Race
 The Atlanta Auburn Club is partnering with our friends at Rally Foundation for the ING Georgia Marathon and Half-Marathon on Sunday, March 21.... and we're looking for some volunteers!
We can help Rally Foundation win the $1,000 prize in the Hydration Station Challenge. A number of non-profit groups are competing for the prize this year, and part of the judging is based on
the number of volunteers at each station and how much encouragement and cheering the volunteers provide the runners. Click here to read more.
There are two shifts to choose from: 5am-10am and 10am-3pm. Volunteers will keep
water poured in cups, pass out cups to passing runners and - most importantly - cheer the
runners on! The second shift will also have clean-up at the conclusion
of the race. All volunteers will get Rally T-shirts (and we hope you'll wear your Auburn hats!) And if you are already planning to run in the race, please support this ALL AUBURN effort by voting for Rally when you reach the finish line! Atlanta-based Rally Foundation, which was founded by an Auburn alum and includes the involvement of A LOT of AU alumni, helps fund childhood cancer research nationwide.
