Greetings!

Special Holiday Greetings from the Atlanta Auburn Club and a BIG War Eagle! to our Auburn Family in metro Atlanta, across Georgia, in Auburn, all over the U.S. ...and around the world!

Amid all the hustle and bustle of the season, we wanted to thank you for your support of our efforts this year, and share a little something with you.

First, a couple dates for your new 2010 calendar:
  • April 20, 2010: AAC A-Day Weekend Kickoff Event with Coach Chizik; our big event is moving to the Spring and takes place three days after A Day; we want to welcome Coach Chizik to Atlanta with the biggest turnout ever!
  • June 14, 2010: AAC Annual Scholarship Fundraising Golf Tournament
Now, for a bit of Auburn Christmas fun!

A video link has been circling the world a few times over by email and Facebook. It's a Christmas lights display in the Houston area with a decidedly Auburn take on the holiday. (We even know of an AU Tiger who rushed over to the  neighborhood to see it in person after seeing the video posted on FB!)
Click here to see this AUmazing Christmas display!

And here's another bit of Auburn Christmas trivia you can share with your relatives over Christmas. Did you know that a Christmas classic which is marking its 30th anniversary this year was sung by an Auburn graduate? Elmo Shropshire (Vet School, 1964) was on FOX early Sunday, talking about the milestone. The song? ..."Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."  Here's a link to the story behind the song  - Here's a link to some of Dr. Elmo's TV appearancesHere's the music video

Have a safe and happy Christmas! And here's hoping the New Year starts with some "SNOW" in Tampa!!

Go Tigers..... and WAR EAGLE!

Merry Christmas! Buon Natale! Froehliche Weihnachten! Joyeux Noel! Feliz Navidad! Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!.... and WAR EAGLE!
