Greetings!
War Eagle! Just a quick reminder of our Wine & War Eagle event tonight at Just for Giggles. It will be a fun evening so come out and meet some great Tigers. There is still time to register! We will have our AAC "War Eagle!" and "Toomer's Corner" ornaments available for sale + T-shirts too.
Also, Habitat for Humanity has contacted the club. They need volunteers to help them finish some builds so that families can move into their homes before the end of the year. Habitat offered us two Saturdays in December (5th & 12th) and we have decided to help them on both days. We are told that these projects will include some inside finishing work, unlike the heavy-duty outside build we did in the Spring. Additional details are below - we hope to see you there!

AAC-Habitat for Humanity Christmas Community Service Project
A Home for the Holidays
Habitat for Humanity has contacted the Atlanta Auburn Club about helping with the
final stages in a build (or builds) as they try to get families in
their new homes by year-end.
We won't get specific details about each
day's tasks until the week of each scheduled date.
Dates are December 5 and December 12 from 8a-4p.
You can volunteer for one day --- or both!
All volunteers are asked to wear Auburn shirts/hats, etc.
Our
registration site on the Habitat web page has not been opened up yet.
But if you are interested in helping us spread some real joy and hope
this Christmas --- please contact Ginger Florey Powell at:
gingerf4au@aol.com and get on our volunteer list now. She will direct you to the registration site once

2009 Iron Bowl Tailgating and Game Day Information
Auburn University has
announced changes in tailgating and parking guidelines for the Alabama
game, scheduled to be played at Jordan-Hare Stadium at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 27. These changes are in effect for the Alabama game only.
- RVs may enter the hayfield parking lots (corner of Donahue Dr. and Lem Morrison Dr.) beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25.
- Fans may reserve their tailgating beginning at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26.
- Transit service begins at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27.

Admission is FREE for Auburn Alumni Association members. Avoid packing
a lunch, lugging a cooler and finding a shady spot to sit: We provide
food, entertainment and special guests (think Aubie!!), and best of
all, we take care of the clean-up! We are located west of Jordan-Hare
Stadium on the Wallace Center lawn. Can't make it to the tent? Share

The
Auburn Alumni Association is sponsoring the Downtown Merchants
Association's block party in the streets of downtown Auburn on Friday
nights
before home football games. Auburn faculty, staff, students and alumni
will be treated to a series of Auburn University pep rallies and live
entertainment. The event will last from 6-8:30 p.m.
and is open to everyone with no entrance fee. Magnolia Avenue will be
blocked off from College Street to Gay Street in order to remain
pedestrian friendly. College Street will remain open to allow traffic
to easily access the downtown area and campus. Other sponsors include
the Auburn Opelika Tourism Bureau, Opelika Auburn News, The Corner

round contestants have already been announced. The first place winner from each round will move on to the
finals which will take place during the bowl season. Each winner wins

Get Involved
There
are nearly 100 local Auburn Clubs throughout the country, and through
these groups alums have the opportunity to participate in various
fund-raising activities either directly for their local club
scholarship or towards the Association's Endowed Scholarship. In
2005-2006, more than $178,000 was raised by local clubs for students in
their areas to attend Auburn.
How else can I give?
Just
make your tax-deductible contribution to the 'Auburn University
Foundation', designating the Atlanta Auburn Club Endowment Fund in the "Notes" line of your check. Or if you

find it in the refrigerated section (by the juices and milk).
