Metro Atlanta are you ready?!! We've been working on it for months... and now it's almost here!
Just wanted to let everyone know that there is still time to RSVP for the AAC's annual Scholarship Fundraising Kickoff Event with Coach Tuberville! Details are below. And a BIG thanks and a "War Eagle!" to everyone who has already registered through PayPal and email -- you are AUsome!

Three days from today --- that's when the Atlanta Auburn Club officially kicks off the start of the Fall Football Season with our big game day event at the Cobb Galleria. Since we can't tailgate in Auburn for a few months -- we thought, why not bring the game day fun here?!!
We
are creating our own Tiger Town in a 36,000 square foot exhibition hall
at the Cobb/Galleria Convention Center -- and we are setting it up with
a game day/fan fest/tailgate theme! There will also be stadium style concession stands, plus cash bars.
There is still time to register --- through PayPal --- or send us an email and pay at the door.
We have invited all the metro area incoming Freshmen this year --- the first 150
new Freshmen to stop by our club tailgate tent location that night
and say "War Eagle!" will even get a special Auburn t-shirt, courtesy of Coca-Cola!.
The AAC will be selling club T-Shirts, AAC koozies, and lots of other great stuff. And for the first time that night -- you can also pre-order the Atlanta Auburn Club's exclusive, limited-edition Toomer's Corner Ornament!
We ARE Georgia's OTHER university and this is the night to celebrate it! Come out, bring your family and join us for a night of Auburn fun, fans and football!

Our Silent Auction, which benefits the club's 501(c)(3) Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Fund, is going to have a wide variety of items and Auburn/sports memorabilia, including a full-size Auburn football helmet signed by 12 former AU players: Marcus Washington, Kenny Irons, Carlos Rogers, Adlai Trone, Reggie Torbor, David Irons, Ronnie Brown, Haven Fields, Daniel Lindsey, TJ Jackson, Ben Grubbs, and Carnell "Cadillac" Williams.

In addition to the Silent Auction, we will also be holding a Special Raffle to benefit our 501(c)(3) Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Fund: Top prize: 2 roundtrip tickets on Air Tran ($1,000 value), 2nd Prize: a Milliken Auburn University Rectangular Rug (5 Ft. 4 In. x 7 Ft. 8 In. - Retail value $250), and 3rd Prize: 4 Field Level Tickets for Atlanta Braves -vs- St. Louis Cardinals Thursday, July 31, 2008 ($144 value).
A Night of Fun...and Community Service
Rally Foundation will be with us as part of our community service project -- 4 Quarters 4 Research -- so don't forget to bring your ziploc bag of spare change to help fund children's cancer research (more details about this are below).
We will also have some very special guests: Friends of Lauren Burk, who will be selling special memorial wristbands throughout the hall that night. Proceeds of these wristbands will go directly to the Lauren Burk Memorial Scholarship Fund at Auburn University.
What to wear?
Come comfortable, casual and decked out in Orange & Blue! Dress as you would for a big Auburn football game! Wear your Auburn jerseys, All Auburn-All Orange shirts, orange and blue game day wigs, lucky socks, orange overalls, shorts, jeans.... you can even paint your face...or grab five friends and spell A-U-B-U-R-N! Are you Auburn's biggest and best dressed fan? Then show us! The AAC will be holding a contest for "Best Dressed Fan" and the winner will be decided by the Tigers attending!

Your friends, your family, your Auburn Spirit, a folding Auburn tailgate chair if you
want...and your checkbook/credit card/cash because there will be some great
Auburn vendors joining us for the fun.

The AAC raises thousands of dollars annually to fund scholarships for metro Atlanta area students to attend Auburn University. In 2007, we were able to raise about $30,000 to fund our regular and newly established endowed scholarships. The Greater Atlanta metro area is home to 20,000 Auburn alumni, fans & friends....and still growing. War Eagle!
