War Eagle from the Atlanta Auburn Club! Newsletter Subtitle
Month Year
 Greetings!

War Eagle! Excitement is building in the metro area ahead of the Auburn Tigers' appearance vs. Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve. First up is a coaches luncheon that is scheduled for tomorrow at the Hilton Atlanta. More details are below.

The AAC and Young Alums are also looking for volunteers who want to help us give the Marine Corps a hand sorting toys in the final Toys 4 Tots push before Christmas. It's a volunteer opportunity like no other! See below.

In the next few days the Atlanta Auburn Club will start announcing a schedule of bowl-related events and other fun opportunities and offers for all metro area Tigers, plus the rest of our Auburn family that will be flying and driving here for the bowl game. Among them, our club get-together with the Auburn Alumni Association, which is set for Sunday, December 30th at a brand new sports bar near the Georgia Dome and within walking distance for all our visiting Tigers who will be at hotels in the downtown area: Stats (check out this website!!)

With some 19,000 Tigers (probably more than that) in the Greater Atlanta area -- the Chick-fil-A Bowl promises to provide us all with a great opportunity for an exciting family reunion!

As a hometown welcome to all the visiting Tigers coming to town for the bowl, we want to see the highways filled with Auburn cars decked out in their "Game Day" best -- and Friday, December 28th will be our day to wear some "All Auburn All Orange" colors to work and around town!

If you are the Auburn owner of a business that wants to offer any bowl-related specials to the metro area and visiting Tigers, please contact the Atlanta Auburn Club right away with any details. We will be pleased to include your information in the email blast that we have planned.

Looking for a great opportunity to put some "Ho! Ho! Ho!" into your Holidays?!

The Atlanta Auburn Club and AAC Young Alums are going to give Santa and the U.S. Marine Corps a helping hand on Thursday, December 20 at the Marine Corps Toys 4 Tots warehouse in Smyrna (2540 Atlanta Road, SE, Suite B, Smyrna, GA 30080)

We are going to help them sort toy donations in the final push before Christmas! It is three hours of our time -- to help put some joy in the hearts of metro area children this holiday season.

If you've never done this before -- it can be a real trip down memory lane and it really gives you an idea of what it's like for Santa's elves to load that sleigh of his!!

Our shift is from 6p-9p. All volunteers are asked to be at the location by 5:45p.

Dress? Comfort is key: Auburn sweatshirts, jeans or sweats, comfortable shoes....and a Santa hat if you have one! And bring along some toy donations from friends and colleagues if you can.

Want to join our group of Tiger "elves" and help us support the Marine Corps effort? Or maybe you'd like to drop off some toy donations while we're there?

For more information and to volunteer, contact Peyton Jamison at peyton.jamison@gmail.com, or
