Greetings!
War Eagle! We know there are a lot of Tigers headed to Auburn this weekend for the Ole Miss game. It should be a good one too! The Tigers fought hard and stood proud against LSU after a very tough road schedule -- so be sure to welcome the team back to Jordan-Hare with a BIG "War Eagle!"
The seats are going fast for the AAC's bus trip to Athens. If you are thinking about joining us for a great day of fun -- get your reservation now before it's too late! And make plans, too, to join us for the Thrashers game on December 7th -- we have a limited time remaining to sell tickets for that event.
The Auburn Alumni Association has sent us new details of a reunion in the works, a great MAIN event and the annual Beat Bama Food Drive. Be sure to check the ALUM section for more information about all of those events and other useful information.
And are you Auburn?!! We are looking for more "I AM Auburn" submissions to include in our next email! Send us your story!! Have a great weekend... War Eagle! The Atlanta Auburn Club
Just click on any of the headlines in the "In this Issue" section -- to be taken directly to that item.

Get Your Auburn Club Special Tag License Plate!

Doesn't everyone get excited when they spot that AU on the road?!!
Auburn is easily Georgia's other state school. With it's close proximity to the state line, and the vast number of active Auburn clubs in the state, and number of resident alumni and friends--we can boast more than 30,000 Tigers! Auburn also recruits top level students in Georgia -- 480 last year from the Atlanta metro area alone -- so having that "AU" on the road is a great way to spread the War Eagle spirit.
Be a part of the "Tiger Tag Nation" -- get your Auburn Club Special Tag license plate! And help us spread the word about the growing number of states where you can get an AU tag: Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and Mississippi. And applications are now being collected in North Carolina too! For more information on all of these Auburn tag efforts click this link Here's a tip for the next time you spot an AU Tag on the highway --
keep an AU shaker handy near your seat! Good for plenty of "War Eagle"
Moments on the road. For more information about the Auburn tag in Georgia, see our club website. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at: communications@atlantaauburnclub.org War Eagle!

Message from Auburn University: AU Strategic Planning Moving Forward
At the direction of AU President Jay Gogue, the university is moving forward with its strategic planning efforts. The Web site http://www.auburn.edu/administration/strategic_planning/, which is linked from the AU home page, provides a message from President Gogue, Provost John Heilman and Executive Vice President Don Large detailing the next steps in the planning process. Additionally, information and documents which have been prepared in the planning process are available for review. Specifically, the current SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis prepared by consulting group Messina and Graham, as well as situational assessment materials prepared by Messina and Graham, is available as resource material. Earlier strategic planning input gathered through Bill Sauser's 2005 listening sessions and the last planning materials from the 21st Century Commission are also provided. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and other interested stakeholders are encouraged to review this material to provide informed input. All stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide feedback to an online set of questions about strategic decisions through the Web site listed above beginning the week of Oct. 29.
