Greetings!
For all the Tigers who haven't travelled to Arkansas for tonight's Auburn football game versus the Razorbacks, you can find it on ESPN at 7:45p ET. On the radio: it's on AM 680The Fan and also on Sirius channel 125.
We've got great Fall weather this weekend -- finally -- so join the AAC tomorrow (Sunday) at 2pm. We can talk about the game, the season, and Orange Bandanas!! Wear your Auburn colors cause we'll be meeting at Piedmont Dog Park and then we'll walk over to Park Tavern afterward. We'll be at the dog park about 2 hours (or until we all get thirsty!) Don't have a dog -- then meet us at Park Tavern -- should be a beautiful day to sit outside!
The Atlanta Auburn Club and the local Tennessee Club are meeting this coming week -- October 18th -- for another joint "Beat BAMA" Bash. Young Alums, Old Alums...and everyone in-between are invited to come out and join us after work. Gotta get those Vols psyched up to face the Tide next weekend -- and we've got a BIG game against LSU!
The Bucket Shop is holding a special fundraiser at our game watching party on Saturday, October 20th for the LSU game. The fundraiser benefits Eagle Ranch which was founded by Auburn alum Eddie Staub. Full details are below, so be sure to check them out!
Oh yeah, and one other thing! That blast we sent out in the wee morning hours after Auburn beat Florida was the most opened and most forwarded email we have ever sent out!! AUsome!!!

I AM Auburn
Last weekend one of my best friends from Auburn came to town from Texas with her 8 year old daughter. My husband and I took them to Auburn for the Vandy game, and we had such a great time watching Auburn school spirit through the eyes of a little girl. She got to high five Aubie and some of the football players during Tiger Walk, tasted Toomer's lemonade, yelled along to every cheer, and got to help roll Toomer's Corner after the game. She's always been an Auburn girl, even though they live outside of Houston, and even recited "Roll Tide Roll, 'round the bowl and down the hole" for show and tell when she was in the first grade, but this was her first time on the campus or even a football game. When we asked her what her favorite part of the day was, she replied, "All of it!", although I think Aubie was the highlight of her day! Even my husband, who is a Bulldog, got a kick out of watching her enjoy herself and helped her roll Toomer's! It was a memorable day for all of us, and my friend and I both agreed, it always feels good in Auburn! By the way, her daughter also says she's going to be the captain of the swim team when she comes to Auburn in about ten years, so how's that for goal-setting?? WAR EAGLE!!!! I AM Auburn! Spotted on I-75: AU Tag #TZ 9104! Have You Seen a Higher Number? Get Your Auburn Club License Plate!
Here's a tip for the next time you spot an AU Tag on the highway -- keep an AU shaker handy near your seat! Good for plenty of "War Eagle" Moments on the road.
An Atlanta Tiger reports that she spotted a plate in the 9,000 range the other day -- 9104 to be exact! Have you seen one higher? Let us know!
Auburn is easily Georgia's other state school. With it's close proximity to the state line, and the vast number of active Auburn clubs in the state, and number of resident alumni and friends--we can boast more than 30,000 Tigers! Auburn also recruits top level students in Georgia -- 480 last year from the Atlanta metro area alone -- so having that "AU" on the road is a great way to spread the War Eagle spirit.
Be a part of the "Tiger Tag Nation" -- get your Auburn Club Special Tag license plate! And help us spread the word about the growing number of states where you can get an AU tag: Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, and Mississippi. And applications are now being collected in North Carolina too! For more information on all of these Auburn tag efforts click this link And for more information about the Auburn tag in Georgia, see our club website. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at: communications@atlantaauburnclub.org War Eagle!

From the Metro Area Kitchen: A Tiger Tailgate Recipe AAC Member & GIANT AU fan Terry Hensler Smith shares a favorite recipe
Buffalo Chicken Dip 4 chicken breasts (3 if they are large is plenty) 2 - 8 ounce cream cheese (fat free works fine) 1 - 6 ounce bottle of blue cheese salad dressing Small package of shredded cheddar cheese (optional) 1 bottle of Fred's Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce
Cook chicken and shred into pieces (you can use a pre-cooked chicken like rotisserie from the grocery store if pressed for time). Spray 13 x 9 pan with non-stick spray and place chicken in pan. Pour buffalo wing sauce over the chicken. (I recommend marinating the chicken in the buffalo wing sauce for a few hours if you have the time).
On top of stove, melt cream cheese and salad dressing until melted. (Make sure you spray this pan with Pam or other non-stick spray). It will still be lumpy. Pour over chicken and bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle cheddar cheese and bake for another 10 minutes.
Serve hot or cold with fritos. When hot the dip will be soupier. Other chips work well also, but the fritos don't break as easily as Tostitos. You can also split the recipe into 2 smaller pans and freeze one for later which makes this a quick appetizer for a get-together. I never bring any dip back home!

Here is one of the many tailgating recipes available online:
War Eagle Pretzel Treats submitted by Virginia Vernon Class of '87
1 bag of square shaped pretzels (I think I use Snyder's brand - the "grid" is needed to hold the Hug) 1 bag Hershey's HUGS 1 bag plain M&M's with the ORANGE and BLUE ones separated out
Preheat the oven to 250. Spread the pretzels out on a foil lined cookie sheet* Place the Hugs on top of the pretzels Cook for about 2 minutes or until the Hugs just begin to soften Pull the cookie sheet out and immediately place an M&M on top of each Hug, pressing down a little.
Tip #1: You may want to only cook about 10 or 12 at a time at first so that you can get a feel for how quickly you need to place the M&M's. If there are too many on the cookie sheet, some of the Hugs will cool down and get hard before you have a chance to place the M&M. Let cool and then refrigerate until ready to serve.
Tip #2: You can also make these with other color combinations for holidays or other teams. But is there really any other team besides AUBURN?!?! Enjoy!!
