Tiger Rags, the Auburn Alumni Association's official web store, will be with us too! They will be selling the new All Auburn-All Orange T-shirt, which was voted on by the Auburn family. A portion of the proceeds from this t-shirt support AU's scholarship program and the Student Government Association BIG EVENT initiative. The BIG EVENT is part of a nationwide movement to give back to the people and communities that surround universities through service projects.  For more information on Auburn's BIG EVENT go to http://www.auburn.edu/sga/events.html
This year, the Atlanta Auburn Club is supporting this worthwhile initiative and we encourage you to get your All Auburn-All Orange T-shirt at our event!

Auburn alum and former ALUM Magazine editor Mike Jerniganimage will be there to autograph copies of his new book --- a biography titled, Auburn Man: The Life and Times of George Petrie. This extensively researched hardback, with foreward by Ralph Jordan, is the most exhaustive history of Auburn University during the period from 1887-1947 ever published. Petrie, the author of the Auburn Creed, is recognized as the father of Auburn football, having organized and coached the first team in 1892. This book includes exciting new details about the formation of that team and Auburn's first game, a 10-0 win over Georgia, played at Atlanta's Piedmont Park.
