With great excitement and lots of balloons, we celebrated
our 2nd birthday on November 1.
Surrounded by a crowd of friends and supporters, we toasted our success
-- and the sunset -- with a fine selection of local beers and a pretzel tasting
of 6 different varieties from Utz.
Anyone who has raised a child or started a business knows
that the first 2 years are the hardest.
We owe much of our success to YOU, the people who have had the
confidence to join us in this adventure.
Those who helped us celebrate on November 1 represented all
aspects of this effort --

Emerging Technology Center who provide our beautiful work space and office support. Homeowner customers who have jumped on the

There's Frost on My Roof.

A crisp morning frost or
fresh fallen snow provides an opportunity to measure needless heat loss in your
attic. Shortly after the frosty flakes have covered the roofs, go outside to
study your roof and those of your neighbors.
On houses where the frost
or snow melts fast,
1) the furnace is working overtime,
2) the utility company
will be billing for the heat to do the melting, and
3) that home is colder on
the inside.
Frost and snow melts last
on the roofs of the most energy efficient and comfortable homes. Thermal defects
in attic floors and ductwork are the culprits. These issues should be diagnosed
and remedied BEFORE adding additional attic insulation. A TerraLogos Home Energy Inspection identifies the specific leaks that create energy losses every
hour of the winter (and summer too.)
So notice the snow on
