Bookyoursite Contracts and Fees
|
We are undertaking a massive renovation of our Bookyoursite.com Internet booking system. Part of that renovation is the implementation of a contract as our company lawyer has been asking. Effective immediately all our customers have to sign a contract to be listed on the Bookyoursite.com server. Seems litigation or the threat of litigation is running the world and I guess we cannot be immune from it. At any rate we faxed the contract/user agreement out to all our accounts recently. We really need to have those signed and faxed back to Christina at 904-374-4493. Seems our legal people are demanding such. To reward those people who sign and fax back their Bookyoursite.com contract we will freeze their Bookyoursite.com rates at $3 per transaction until May 1, of 20008. Otherwise Bookyoursite.com fees are being adjusted September 1/2007 to $5 per transaction.
I thought I would give you a quick update on some our our Bookyoursite.com progress.
- Business is very good for our customers. The numbers are spectacular.
- Well over 60% of our customers pass on the $3 fee to their campers. The consumer is used to paying $9-$12 per reservation at the state park system.
- We are starting a complete rewrite of the system to better enhance the consumer experience
- The numbers are increasing at an exponential rate. (Obviously we cannot share our private customers numbers)
- We have booked over $4.85 million dollars in reservations through Bookyoursite.com
Check out the attached chart for the time of the day the consumer is
booking their holiday travel plans. Looks like people book during the
day at work in lieu of phoning in and of course they book at night.
The time chart is interesting as it shows the public no longer has the time nor the volition to talk to a live body. They want and in most cases demand to book over the Internet. It seems people are booking in the middle of the day while they are at work.It seems they do not want to appear to their fellow employees, in the cubical world of offices, that they are not working as other people can hear a phone call. So they book over the Internet where they can do it at their own pace, almost in stealth mode. I guess it is another comment on the time poverty society we live in. Think about that in terms of daytme staffing at your park. Monitor the phones and I think you will see less phone calls and more Internet reservations. Might be a labor saving area there.
If you are not Bookyoursite.com please give it some thought. Pass the fee along to your campers and cut your labor, postage and long distance bills.Contact Chris Rhodes or myself. Or fill in our contact form and we will get back to you. Most of all, give the consumer what he wants or he will go somewhere else.
