Greetings!

Hi Folks, Here's hoping this newsletter finds you well. This first newsletter of 2007 contains details about an upcoming show, Wisconsin Training trip, new staff clarification and more. So thanks for taking the time to read and hope you enjoy.

As discussed in our last newsletter we have hired Andy and Jane Eaton to be our onsite trainers. They just completed 2 full days of updated training at our office and are rarin to go! They will be travelling to the parks in their motorhome (in most cases)and providing training at the park. The differences and advantages are many. They should save the campground owner the flight costs however there will be some travel expenses. You will get two trainers for the day.

We currently have a two day minimum in place for training. However we are going to offer a one day minimum as long as the Eatons are in the same geographic area. In other words if you live in Florida for example and want one day of training get together with other Campground Manager SoftwareŽ customers in the area and we can over each one day of training and you can split the travel costs.

So to recap:
  1. will waive the two day minimum if we are in the area
  2. get two trainers instead of one
  3. get onsite help with your Quickbooks import
  4. economize on the travel costs
  5. capitalize on the Eaton's extnsive park management experience
  6. get your system upgraded by the pros
  7. Fine tune your IT department

These are just some of the advantages enjoyed by our customers in the past. So give us a call if you need any further information or would like to book some training.

Next Training Trip We will be in Osseo Wisconsin in early Feb. so if you want to take advantage of reduced travel costs for our trainers please give Chris or myself a call. Hope to hear from you soon.

Over the years we have worked with many IT consultants both on the hardware side and software integration side. One of the best ones we have worked with is Craig Dieckman.

Craig is the former Chief Information Officer for ELS (Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc.) and a couple of years ago struck out on his own. He is doing some work for a few clients of ours. His group specializes in single or multi-park technical consulting, IT strategic planning, and day-to-day IT operational support. Craig and his colleagues have many years of implementing and supporting environments based on Citrix and Windows Terminal Server environments. So, if you need someone who is well-versed in this area, please give Craig a call and he can help you.

If you have a multipark environment, his group can also help you set up the Campground Manager SoftwareR Central Reporting Module. Once you get that up and running, they can help you set up a data dump for database queries and portfolio-wide reporting. In essence, he is like having your own database analyst for Campground Manager SoftwareŽ that you can hire by the job. He has extensive hardware/software environment experience.

So if you have any interest or any other questions please fell free to contact Craig at:Attn: Craig Dieckman Dieckman Group LLC 14 S Reuter Drive Arlington Heights, IL 60005-1502 Wk: (847) 870-1058 Fx: (847) 483-1458 e1:craig@dieckman.com
This is more of a recommendation than a how-to procedure. With our new on-line help tool (WebEx), I have been able to connect with many of your computers. While helping out with whatever has been wrong, I have also noticed many installs of Campground Manager that are not exactly up to par. My suggestion is even if everything seems OK, and your support time is getting close to renewal, call me so that I can connect with you and go over your installation of Campground Manager. Think of it like having your furnace checked once a year which is great preventative maintenance. Checking your installation can possibly catch a problem before it can effect your day to day operations.
Chuck Hays is the proprietor of two properties both branded under the Far Horizons name. One is located in Plymouth CA (49er Village Resort) and one in Tucson AZ (Tucson Village RV Resort). Both properties are top notch. Chuck is well known in the industry through his leadership in ARVC for many years. He is a great customer whose operation has made us a better company through his suggestions and business.

Far Horizon's 49er Village RV Resort offer 329 spacious, shady sites on tree-lined streets designed to accommodate even the largest rigs (45' with quad slides). All sites are equipped with full hookups, including water, sewer, electricity (50/30-amp or 30-amp receptacles) and cable TV -- for those of you who just can't seem to get all the way away. Take a swim in one of the two pools or relax in the indoor whirlpool spa. Enjoy winter swimming in the heated, covered pool. Or indulge in an ice cream delight from Café at the Park -- their on-site Deli-Espresso Cafe and Gift Shop, which opens daily at 7 a.m. Far Horizons Tucson Village RV Resort is an active 55+ community located on the desirable east side of Tucson. In addition to the many on-property activities at the RV Resort, Tucson offers some of the finest indoor and outdoor entertainment with something for everybody.

We would like to thank Chuck and his staff for his business and his dedication to the RV industry. If you have any questions or would like to stay at his park please contact: Attn: Chuck Hays Jr. 49ER TRAILER VILLAGE 18265 Highway 49 PLYMOUTH, CA 95669 Wk: (209) 245-6981 Fx: (209) 245-4507 e1: chuck_hays@49ervillage.com If you would like to stay at one of these fine resorts, click on the links above.
We have added a new feature to the map portion of Campground Manager SoftwareŽ. For every new map we draw there will be a "print" button that will print the screen shot of the map including the occupied "dots". We have had this request over the years many times and have finally figured out a way to do it. The benefit of this feature is you can now print off the map and give it to a confused camper showing them the exact location of their site. Might even be useful enough to discontinue having to buy maps for an outside supplier!

So in order to do this for our existing customer base we have to re- configure your maps up to the new standard. Unfortunately from our standpoint this involves labor. So we have to charge $50 per map to add this feature. We take your old map, reconfigure it with the new feature and send it down to you via FTP. We then re-attach the new map to your existing data file.

Please contact Chris or myself if you would like to order this feature or see it it action on a live Webex demo. Thank you in advance for your anticipated support.
For the first time ever we will be attending the upcoming Ohio Campground Owner Association Trade Show. The show takes place in Columbus Ohio March 9,10 2007. Chris Rhodes will be attending. So if you have time to come to the show please drop by the booth and say hi. Hope to see you there.

That is it for this month. Happy New Year to all our friends in the outdoor hospitality business. Thanks again.

Sincerely,

Peter Kearns
