Celebrating BAK's Inaugural Exhibition: The Promise of Light

In honor of the 1st Annual Berkshire Festival of Women in the Arts, the Berkshire Art Kitchen at 400 Main Street in Great Barrington will present "The Promise of Light" an exhibition featuring the most recent series of atmospheric landscape paintings by internationally recognized artist, Gabrielle Senza.
Largely self-taught, Gabrielle explains: "Drawn to Nature from a very early age, I traced raccoon tracks in the sand along the water's edge, and drank colors from the sky.  Nature has been my mother and my teacher.  Through nature I found art.  Through art, I found solace."
A widely exhibited artist, Senza's work is included in the collections of The New York Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, The Sackner Archive of Concrete & Visual Poetry, Lifetime Entertainment, Fidelity Mutual and numerous private collections around the world.  She is the founder of The Red Collaborative, a creative arts initiative that empowers survivors of abuse through public art collaborations; and the Berkshire Art Kitchen, Berkshire County's newest gallery of contemporary art.
