Summer will be here before you know it! We can't wait. SandwichFest 2011 will take place on Jarves Street on Saturday July 16th and we look forward to making the third year the best and best attended ever!
We have a more aggressive off-Cape marketing plan, a grant for new musical offerings and a great committee put together - sign-up now to be a part of this great event:

Reminder: the Sandwich Guidebook deadline is coming up quickly.
This official Chamber publication and premiere guide to ALL THINGS SANDWICH belongs to the Chamber members and is a great opportunity to hit the RIGHT market you need to reach - folks who are looking to buy goods and services in Sandwich!
To advertise: Mail the contract in now and pay by March 22nd to get the exposure you need for the busy upcoming season!
To be in the enhanced directory listings: All you need to do is be a Chamber member!
Have them on hand to give out to your customers: The Cape Cod Life staff will deliver a supply to all advertisers in May so you'll be ready to give directions and answer questions - a great way to welcome visitors!

New: Business Lunch Series! |
We are pleased to launch a new networking opportunity. This Business Lunch Series is great for those professionals who can't always make the evening networking events.
We will meet on the second Tuesday of the month for networking (come ready to tell us about your business) and a short but highly informational speaker on topics important to business owners and managers.

Congratulations to Chamber members who received workforce safety training grants: Catania Hospitality Group ( Dan'l Webster Inn) and Home Instead Senior Care in Centerville both received state grants from the Office of Labor and Workforce Development to do educational and preventative programs to create safer work enivornments and avoid employee injury.
Great job!
The Summer Guide is under new ownership: Wayne and Elizabeth Smith
have purchased this high end guide from long-time member Susan Fehlinger. We with them luck on their new venture.
Happy New Year! Lunar New Year, that is. Help be a part of the Year of the Rabbit celebration, Saturday, February 26th at the Sandwich High School. The Sandwich Public Library is looking for sponsors (Dragon: $200, Rabbit: $100, Good Fortune Cookie: $50) to continue to enhance the annual Lunar New Year observance, first begun in 1999. Sponsors will be featured on the programs and publicity. The Chinese Folk Arts Performers will be returning, bringing the full troupe for the event (thanks to the Sandwich Artisans donation). The Sandwich Public Library is pleased to work collaboratively with the Sandwich Recreation Department, community members, and businesses to present this all ages event. Successful Small Business
Management Courses | SCORE Announces the Schedule for its Spring

The course will be held at 7 PM each Tuesday night for seven successive weeks and will cover a wide range of topics useful to small business people and to those contemplating starting a business. The fee for the course is $130, including a copy of SCORE'S Handbook for Small Business.

The course is taught by experienced executives and entrepreneurs and will cover: Business Planning; Financing; Sales and Marketing; E-commerce and Web Design; Accounting Practices and Record Keeping; Tax Strategies and many other profitable business practices. The content is designed to provide small business owners and those considering going into business with a foundation to grow and manage a small business. The instructors are specialists who bring years of experience and training to their subjects.
SCORE, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration, is a nation-wide organization that provides education and individual business counseling to small business. |
