It's time to plan your events and promotions that we will list and cooperatively advertise to encourage people to shop in Sandwich for the holiday gift season.
We've revamped the program to be more effective for participating retailers. Prize-drawing winners will win gift certificates to participating businesses, thus insuring you customer traffic if you sign up. In addition, we've linked Thursday Night Lights to cause-oriented shopping, thus encouraging customers to do their shopping on Thursday nights in Sandwich to give back to the community.

Invitations will be mailed out this week, including ballot to vote on officers for the 2010-2011 Fiscal Year.

23rd Annual Collectible Glass Show & Sale
It will be held on September 11 and 12 at St. Theresa's Hall a.k.a. Skylight Room of the Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich, MA. Corpus Christi Church is located just off Exit 3 off Route 6 (Mid-Cape Hwy) at 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, East Sandwich, MA 02537
Forty nationally prominent glass dealers will offer unique antique and Collectible American and European glassware from the 18th to the 21st century. Visitors will have the opportunity to see, examine and acquire glass of practically every age and description. The Art glass of Tiffany, Steuben, Durand and Quezel, fine products from Galle, Baccarat, Daum and other French makers, brilliantly cut glass by Hawkes and Libbey, Depression-era pressed glass by Heisey, Imperial and Cambridge and, of course, Sandwich glass in a dazzling array of colors and patterns. Some dealers specialize in a single category of collectible glass, such as bottles and flasks, paperweights, salt dishes, early American pattern glass or marbles, while others will offer varied selections to suit every taste.
Several contemporary glassmakers will be at the show. Joan Kaiser will offer reference books. These reference books on Sandwich glass will add special interest and excitement to the weekend. Come and learn about the newly formed Cape Cod Glass Club. Plus, a glass identification service will be available to glass show patrons.
Do plan a visit to the unique Cape Cod Glass Show in September ! The Glass Show hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and from 11 AM to 4 PM on Sunday.
Admission $6.00. Ticket allows admission to the Sandwich Glass Museum this weekend. Free parking. Refreshments offered by the Knights of Columbus. All proceeds from admissions will benefit the Sandwich Glass Museum and its educational programs. The Sandwich Chamber is pleased to announce that the official Sandwich Guidebook 2010 will be published by Cape Cod Life publishing.
We plan a very active program of tourism promotion and enhanced Guidebook distribution in promoting Sandwich to visitors and reminding residents of all the great shopping, dining and activities available in their own back yard. We look forward to partnering with Cape Cod Life on expanding the reach and content of the Sandwich Guidebook.
