Greetings!
Most clients are unfit because of their workplaces. I
call this the toxicity of the workplace. It's like they live
to go to work. No. Your workplace is an extension of
yourself. Don't let it dictate how you should feel.
Easier said than done?
Not really. You just have to make sure you are the
boss. During this nice long weekend, why not take a
few moments to clean off a work area and sit with a
clean sheet of paper. Then write down how you are
going to make your workplace more healthy for
yourself.
First, don't spend your day at your desk. Neither the
body or mind were made for that. This makes for a
cranky you.
Second, make time for a daily stretch. If your
workplace doesn't offer a noontime stretch class,
make one. Just get a small area where 5 people can
get together and stretch. You can invite a yoga teacher
such as myself, in to show you some moves.
Drink water. Eat healthy. Tell yourself, NO, FOOD IS
NOT THE SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEMS. You can
think better with less sugar in your body. Instead,
think ahead for daytime food emergencies and keep
cut veggies and lots of fruit around. Green tea is also
a good pacifier. If you think you are going to cave, just
tell yourself, the weekend is coming, you can have
whatever you want then.
