Greetings!
It is reliably estimated that 1400 to 1700 people in Ottawa County experienced homelessness at some point during the past year. Over half of those served by the CHP program are children. Community Action House and Good Samaritan Ministries, along with area churches and other community partners, have been collaborating on this successful project since 1995.
This is a great way to engage with others to make a difference.
 This is Wally Mugg's 10th year as a golfer/fundraiser in the CHP Golf Classic.
When asked why he does it, "Because I believe in the benefits to the community of this program and have seen people getting back on their feet and no longer dependent on charity. It's a great day, meeting new people and hearing amazing stories from a family who now sees hope. It helps you understand the struggles many are facing in our community."
