The Painful Price of Texas Republican Budgets

The Texas Democratic Party launched a new website, GOPpricetag.com, to provide Texans an honest picture of the painful local effects of the $27 billion budget hole Republicans have dug here in Texas.

Republicans have controlled Texas state budget policy for at least a decade, but they've refused to take responsibility for their actions and act in the best interests of Texans, choosing instead to put politics ahead of sound public policy.

Today, Texans are learning that GOP politics comes with a massive price tag, and Republicans are asking Texas families to foot the bill. On GOPpricetag.com, you'll find news stories and facts, as well as stories from real, everyday Texans, detailing the painful effects Republican neglect is having on families and communities. In every story, the message is clear - we can't afford the painful price of Republican politics.
