Next Tuesday: DCDP Executive Committee Meeting
 

The Dallas County Executive Committee will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, February 8, at 6:30 PM, at the Communication Workers of America Hall, at 1408 N. Washington at Bryan, Dallas. The Executive Committee consists of the County Chair, County Secretary, and all Precinct Chairs in the county. While other Democrats are free to observe without voting, seating and parking may be limited.

At this meeting, Precinct Chairs will caucus by state House districts to select one or two members from each district to serve on the DCDP Advisory Council. Only Precinct Chairs are eligible to vote. Only Precinct Chairs or SDEC members from a House district may be chosen as members of the Advisory Council for that district.

In Memory: Bill Wiseman
 

Bill Wiseman of Garland passed away last week at the age of 81. He was a retired Dallas County Deputy Sheriff and had been a Democratic nominee for County Commissioner and Sheriff in Dallas County. He was the first law enforcement officer in the Texas School Book Depository after the Kennedy Assassination. Services were held last Friday at Eastgate Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife Cecile (a Democratic nominee for Tax Assessor-Collector in Dallas County), three children,six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
