Through Friday of this week you can avoid the lines and vote at several Early Voting locations around Dallas County. The county has even extended the hours before and after work to make it even easier. Not only are there a lot of offices to vote for [Hint: you can speed up the process a great deal if you just VOTE A STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC TICKET instead of clicking by all those dozens of names!], but several cities including Dallas have various propositions to vote on, most dealing with expanded sales of alcohol. For a full list of days, times, and locations for early voting, a sample ballot showing what propositions you may get to vote on, a list of polling places on Tuesday, November 2, if you miss the Early Voting, and a place you can check your own voter registration, go to the Dallas County Election Department website at dalcoelections.org. |

We need your help with one last thing. The coordinated campaign is putting out signs at the polls for our candidates. The plan is that the candidates will drop signs off at DCDP HQ Sunday October 31. Then Monday November 1 volunteer teams will take routes of 5 - 10 locations and take "Vote Democratic" signs and 2 of each candidate sign and put them out. We will cover the Top 200 turn out voting locations. If we get more volunteers we can cover more locations with "Vote Democratic" signs. You can pick up signs any time Monday but we ask that you put them out late Monday night/ early Tuesday morning so there is less chance they will get stolen. It is a simple but massive undertaking. We need all the help we can get. To help all of our candidates, please call Sarah Duncan at 214-821-8331. |
