Athlete of the Month 

Name: Vanessa Berg   

Accomplishment: Vanessa approached Coach Matt in January 2011. She has been an accomplished Age group competitor across all distances, but was ready to take her training to the next level. Vanessa rocked her first three races already this season, taking 3rd OA amateur at Oceanside 70.3 (qualifying for 70.3 World Championship in Las Vegas), 5th OA amateur at New Orleans 70.3, and was the overall champ at a local race in Albuquerque.   

Vanessa is laser-focused on her training, highly detailed, analytical, and committed. She is a member of TSF Elite Team as well as TSF Coaching Staff.  Coach Matt says, "Vanessa's meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills definitely enhance our coaching relationship. She is an easy athlete to coach and communicate with."  

We appreciate her hard work, positive team representation, and her fearless pursuit of success as she pits herself against the most competitive age groupers in the country.  Her next race is Buffalo Springs 70.3; best of luck to Vanessa as she continues an already very successful racing season!
