To make the most of your base phase, you may need to dispose of a few myths and rationalizations.

    Concentrating Your Pedal Force

You may either pedal with greater force, more pedal velocity, or both to achieve greater speed. In order to accomplish this you must first transfer your body’s energy to the pedals.

Swim, Bike, Run, Transitions, Race Nutrition, and Injury Prevention. Saturday, November 18th from 2-5:30 pm at Body Pros Physical Therapy (directions)

The Sport Factory teams up with Body Pros

When an athlete becomes injured their goal is to resume training as quickly as possible, and to minimize fitness loss. It is important to be treated by a Physical Therapist that understands this. The level of therapy needed to get an athlete back to training extends well beyond what the average person needs to become pain and injury free. An athletes' bodies must be able to stand up to the rigors of intense physical activity.

    Body Type, Training, and Racing

When it comes training and racing, your body type is an important consideration. The smart athlete identifies their strengths to exploit and weaknesses to develop.

    Stationary Training Classes are Starting
    stationary class

This is not your ordinary "spin" class, but a targeted, progressive, and directed work out designed by head coach Matt Russ, and instructed by Samantha Kaine. Each week will build on the previous, but you may select any class or week you would like to attend. All participants will have their cycling form evaluated, and be given tips on correcting their most glaring inefficiencies. The class will be heart rate or power based. Please note: the class is very small and space is limited!

The Sport Factory Welcomes Richard Klepacz

The Sport Factory welcomes Richard Klepacz to our coaching staff. Richard has the right mix of athletic experience, science education, and personality that constitutes a great coach and we are fortunate to have him on our team.

Aerobic Base- Going Slower to Get Faster

...if you have the discipline to train aerobically for a period of time, when everyone else is still hammering away, it will pay you dividends down the road.
