Grow Your Business by Finding and Keeping Only High Quality Caregivers
Back in 2006 when the economy was really booming, the biggest challenge to growing a private duty home care business was the ability to hire enough caregivers to meet the growing needs of clients. Recognizing this need, our team at Leading Home Care set out to find the most effective techniques for recruiting caregivers. While recruiting is very important, we quickly discovered that selection is the key.
Having a systematic process for screening, assessing, and interviewing candidates leads to high quality hires. Recruiting is important to bring in hiqh quality applicants, but selection is critical in making great hiring decisions.
Having used a variety of behavioral assessment tools over the years, we set up to search the phsychological tesing industry to find a valid assessment tool that is economical, that is benchmarked to the home care caregiver job, and that will help you predict the success of potential hires.
After six months of intensive searching, we found such a tool and entered into an agreement with the psychologists who developed the instrument. The result is a highly effective process for recruiting, selecting, and retaining caregivers that we call Caregiver Quality Assurance.
This newsletter is sent to you compliments of CQA to help you develop a more clear understanding of how you can use these concepts to find and keep great caregivers in your home care company. Once a month, we'll be sending you this newsletter as a service of CQA and Leading Home Care ... a Tweed Jeffries company. We hope you will find these articles, videos, and other informational materials valuable in helping you grow your business and get ready for the future.
