Dear Members of AUSCP,

We were challenged by an anonymous donor to donate to AUSCP to help build our resources. The donor said he would match any amount up to $20,000.00 with a deadline of August 29, 2012--The Beheading of St. John the Baptist.  He called it: "Speaking Truth to Power."

As of that date our Treasurer, Fr. Frank Eckart reported we had collected more than $20,000.00.  Special thanks to all our members and supporters  who made this possible. A future Newsletter will carry the names of all contributors.   We have already received the matching grant of $20,000.00 so that our treasury is now in excess of $40,000.00.  Thank you for your support and encouragement; it means the world to us!

Surveying the New Roman Missal 

The editors of U.S. Catholic magazine have requested our help with a survey that they are conducting for priests around the country. They are asking priests to share their opinions on the new Roman Missal and how the transition to using the new translation has gone for them so far. The survey is available on their website:

They are looking to get a broad range of responses from priests around the country, so we want to assist in getting the survey out to as many priests as possible.  The results will be published in the December issue of U.S. Catholic magazine.

Brothers, we know that the majority of the Catholic Press has weighed in on subject by applauding the new Roman Missal.  Can we have a show of our membership united in a different perspective, please!
