Climate policies and regulations can positively affect business profitability and competitiveness - according to a report commissioned by OSE. As part of on our ongoing work on the Seattle Climate Action Plan, OSE commissioned a report to understand how potential actions to get Seattle to carbon neutral could affect the business community. The report, Climate Friendly Communities:
A Review of What Economists Know About the Potential Business Impacts, shows that the types of energy and transportation improvements that the technical advisory groups are considering for the Seattle Climate Action Plan have been shown to contribute to economic growth and prosperity for a region. Applications Open for Master Composter/Soil Builder Training

Seattle Tilth is currently accepting applications for Master Composter/Soil Builder Training. The application period closes March 7. Training sessions typically take place Wednesday evenings and Saturdays at the Seattle Tilth Community Learning Garden at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford in spring. If you are interested in learning more about compost and teaching others - then this program is for you. More information, including the application materials, can be found here.
