Dear Kids Up Front Community,
Welcome to the August edition of KIDS BIZ!
Summer is finally here and Kids Up Front is working hard behind the scenes to help give thousands of kids a summer filled with happy memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it's throwing the first pitch at a Vancouver Canadians baseball game, making liquid nitrogen ice cream at a Brainwaves science camp, or learning to act at the Inspiring Acting Day Camp, our kids have been entertained, educated and inspired. Read on to see what else Kids Up Front has been up to this summer.
Warmly,
Cindy Graves, Executive Director

Agency Encore
"Your organization is amazing, your staff are incredibly efficient and friendly! Keep up the wonderful work! The children in my agency would not be able to attend these events if it was not for you and your hard work, and attending these events is an important part of recovering from the abuse they have experienced in the past.Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Inspired Leaders
 | | Lauren Sesselmann and Desiree Scott of Canada's Olympic Women's Soccer team and Bronze medal winners, participated in Kids Up Front's recent Community Outreach Campaign. |
As a child, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend a professional soccer match. Seeing the women play at that level made a deep impact on my own commitment to the sport and inspired me to pursue my passion. I hope our team's Olympic win will inspire other girls to take up the sport and go after their dreams.

Star Volunteer
What do you do at Kids Up Front?
I was involved with the Community Outreach
Program, going out to various locations to inform the public about Kids Up Front.
I really connected with Kids Up Front's mission. I grew up playing sports and going to sporting events and concerts. Having that outlet positively influenced my life and I want to help to give that experience back.
What do you do when you are not volunteering?
I like doing anything outdoors - hiking, biking, snowboarding. I manage and play on a slo-pitch team and I'm working at experiencing things on my bucket list.
