 Alumni Spotlight and Opportunity
Allison "La La" Morrow is a WCA graduate who is making a difference in Africa.
Allie Morrow is from Opelousas, Louisiana. She is attending Louisiana State University and will graduate in May 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Science in Business Management. After college she would like to attend law school. She is a full-time student and photographer. Allie volunteered at Glorious Orphanage with Jacob Weaver from May to June 2010. After volunteering at Glorious Orphanage, Jacob and Allie have had several fundraising events in which they collected gently used toys, clothes, and school supplies. Her photography sends part of its profits to Glorious Orphanage as well.
The WCA High School Soccer team is collecting used soccer uniforms and cleats for Allie's kids at Glorious Orphanage in Africa. Would you like to participate in this great cause? Donations can be dropped off at the Opelousas or Lafayette campuses. |

The Crusader Football Team kept its perfect district record intact last Friday with a resounding 41-0 shutout over Sacred Heart of Ville Platte. This put the Crusaders at 7-2 on the season. Against Sacred Heart, WCA jumped out to quick 21-0 and never looked back. By the half, the team led 34-0 against a Trojan team that came into the contest 6-2. Sacred Heart never threatened to score as the defense held the Trojans to -5 yards rushing on the night.
A season-ending game against Opelousas Catholic is set for this Friday night at 7 p.m. As is always the case, a huge crowd is expected tonight for the OC game. Despite being 2-7 and out of the playoffs this year, the Vikings always show up with their best effort against the Crusaders. We need everyone to come out to support the Saders as they attempt to win our third overall District title in a row!
