Dear Members: 

Congratulations to Dalia Rivkin for her Pewter Medal performance in Intermediate Ladies at Junior National's!  This had to be one of the most competitive Junior National's in recent memory  - Dalia: we are so proud of you!

 

Special mention:  Save the Date. North Jersey FSC has had a long standing tradition of welcoming in the new year with a "social skate".  Members, parents and siblings are invited to attend and skate the 2012 social skate on Tuesday, January 3 from 6-7:45 pm at the Fritz Dietl ice rink in Westwood, NJ.  There is no cost to attend but we do ask that each skater bring with them a light appetizer or dessert.  The club will provide soft drinks and rental skates for Mom, dad and siblings. This is a relaxing time of camaraderie for club members.  If you have not done so already, RSVP to Rick by Sunday, 1/1/12 at rfbskate@optonline.net if you plan to attend.

 

Academic Scholarship opportunity: the NJ Council of Figure Skating Clubs has released their application for the 2012 Academic Scholarships. open to Juniors and Seniors in high school.  Click HERE for the application and details.  

  

Volunteer opportunities are 1) Staten Island basic skills on February 26, 2012 (registration, music running, results running, announcing, music).  Staten Island member parents are encouraged to volunteer!    2) Skylands Ice World Basic Skills Competition on March 25, 2012. Skylands member parents are encouraged to volunteer!
