ATMdesk/Remote Pricing Strategy
ATMdesk/Remote is sold on a "per Ticket" basis, where a Ticket is an  ATM Dedicated Usage Lasting 24 hours...
The idea is to save you time and money. In normal cases you would send an engineer, find that they don't have the parts, and send the engineer again to repair, or send an engineer while the fix could have been carried out locally.
ATMdesk/Remote allows a support engineer to look at the machine remotely and diagnose the problem online before visiting the machine.
Prices for ATMdesk/Remote start from US$ 50 per Ticket with volume discounts bringing the price down quickly to US$ 20 per Ticket. This is very cheap in comparison to an engineer driving or flying for miles to find they don't have the parts or didn't need to visit at all...
The best news: all ATMdesk customers now have
5x ATMdesk/Remote Tickets
on their ATMdesk account to test ATMdesk/Remote free of charge five times from now until the 31st of Dec. 2010.
Please log into your account and you will find 5x Tickets to try ATMdesk/Remote five times for 24 hrs each free of charge.

Dear Madam / Sir,

Welcome to Edition No 3 of ATMdesk's monthly Newsletter keeping you up to date with all you need to know about ATMdesk Diagnostic Software for NCR ATMs.

Although most of our time was spent on ATMdesk/Remote last month, we added one crutial function to our Fujitsu GBNA & GBRU support: Check Bill Validator Calibration, which was a very high priority for our German customers. We are always working hard adding support for more devices. If you find devices not supported by ATMdesk, please contact Support.

Here I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our Beta Testers for helping us debugging and fine tuning ATMdesk/Remote. Only with your help, your support and your patience we managed to find and cure the last few bugs and release ATMdesk/Remote.

Although ATMdesk/Remote is available on  www.atmdesk.com only for a little while, we received already very positive, encouraging feedback: Andrew B. from the UK wrote: "There was an issue with a machine in the far North of the UK, I asked the local first line maintainer to download ATMdesk/Remote, to write a CD, insert it in the ATM, press RESET, connect his mobile phone via USB, and text (SMS) me the PIN. I entered the PIN on my PC here in the South of England, saw the ATM's screen on my PC, diagnosed the ATM remotely, identified a very simple issue with the dispenser, directed the local first line maintainer how to cure it, and put the machine back into service in less than an hour, saving me & my company a trip to the North, and bringing our customer's machine back online within an hour rather than within a day or two! A job very well done in almost no time, and - thx to ATMdesk/Remote - almost no cost!"

Try for yourself, see for yourself how ATMdesk/Remote will help you servicing machines, located far away. All our ATMdesk customers have been credited 5x free ATMdesk/Remote Tickets to try it free of charge.

If you have any feedback or comments on ATMdesk, please send me an Email - I will read and respond to all your Emails.

Thank you for your interest in ATMdesk Diagnostic Software for NCR ATMs, thank you for your business and greetings from good old Germany!

Sincerely,
Ekkehard Fabel

ATMdesk/Remote available...
Do you have distant ATMs, which you'd like to check remotely first before you drive all the way there? ATMdesk/Remote is what you need - available from www.atmdesk.com

Very simple and straight forward to use:
1) Insert ATMdesk/Remote CD & Press RESET
2) ATM boots with ATMdesk/Remote under LINUX
3) Connect your Mobile Phone or 3G Modem to USB
4) Call your Helpdesk and provide PIN shown on the screen
5) ATMdesk/Remote connects automatically to your Helpdesk
6) Helpdesk engineer "sees" and tests the machine remotely
The person on site may assist if necessary by inserting a card, checking printouts, etc. which might require a second telephone connection to your Helpdesk.
ATMdesk/Remote caveats
ATMdesk/Remote runs on NCR ATMs with CD (it is not possible to boot ATMdesk/Remote from a Floppy nor from a USB Flash) and with USB Ports to connect a mobile phone or 3G modem (it is not possible to connenct the mobile phone or 3G modem via PS2 Adapter to the PS2 Port).

To diagnose the ATM remotely with ATMdesk/Remote, the ATM's PC and one of the ATM's monitors must be in good working order.

We have tested a variety of mobile phones and 3G modems (for a list of all tested devices please refer to ATMdesk/Remote's User Manual on www.atmdesk.com ). Other devices might work out of the box, but they might also not work and require "tweeking". Pls contact support should you find mobile phones or 3G modems not working out of the box - thank you!
