Swipe Card Reader
Finally we are supporting what people from the US have been asking us for since we released ATMdesk/Pro in July:

Simply download ATMdesk/Pro from www.atmdesk.com, build a Floppy or CD or Boot-Dongle and here you are, ready to test NCR ATMs with Serial Swipe Card Readers.

USB DIP Card Readers

Next on the list are USB DIP Card Readers, which we plan to release mid of Oct. 2010.
Simply look out for a new release on www.atmdesk.com mid of Oct. 2010. We'll also send out a tweet on Twitter. If you are not yet following ATMdesk in Twitter, just click on the link below and you will automatically receive news tweets from ATMdesk.
ATMdesk/Remote Pricing Strategy
ATMdesk/Remote will be sold on a "per Ticket" basis, where a Ticket is an  ATM Dedicated Usage Lasting 24 hours...
The idea is to save you time and money. In normal circumstances you would send an engineer, find that they don't have the parts, and send the engineer again to repair, or send an engineer while the fix could have been carried out locally.
ATMdesk/Remote allows a support engineer to look at the machine remotely and diagnose the problem online before visiting the machine.
Prices for ATMdesk/Remote start from US$ 50 per Ticket with volume discount available bring the price down to US$ 20 per Ticket. This is very cheap in comparison to an engineer driving or flying for miles to find they don't have the parts or didn't need to visit at all...
The best news: we will credit all our customers' accounts
5x ATMdesk/Remote Tickets
for all to test ATMdesk/Remote free of charge five times from now until the 31st of Dec. 2010

Dear Madam / Sir,

Welcome to the 2nd edition of ATM-desk's monthly Newsletter keeping you up to date with all you need to know about ATMdesk.

Although most of our time was spent on ATMdesk/Remote this month, we added one new device: Serial Swipe Card Readers, which was a very high priority for our US customers. We are always working hard adding support for more devices. If you find devices not supported by ATMdesk, please contact Support.

ATMdesk/Remote is due out within the next 1 to 2 weeks, a few days later than originally scheduled, but you will be delighted! If you would like to join the team of Beta-Testers, please click here.

Here some early feedback received for ATMdesk/Remote: Sergey M. from Russia wrote: "finally there is a tool which allows me to look at an ATM located many hours driving away. I can see for myself what is wrong, I can prepare the required parts before I drive all the way there to fix the machine on site!"

Try for yourself, see for yourself how ATMdesk/Remote will help you to service machines, located far away...

If you have any feedback or comments on ATMdesk, please send me an Email - I will read and respond to all your Emails.

Thank you for your interest in ATMdesk Diagnostic Software for NCR ATMs, thank you for your business and greetings from good old Germany!

Sincerely,

ATMdesk/Remote due 10th Oct.
Do your engineers onsite need help from your central help desk from time to time? Or do you have distant ATMs, which you'd like to check remotely first before you drive all the way there? ATMdesk/Remote is what you need - coming 10th of Oct.

Very simple and straight forward to use on site:
1) Insert ATMdesk/Remote CD & Press RESET
2) ATM boots ATMdesk/Remote under LINUX
3) Connect Mobile Phone or 3G Modem via USB Cable
4) Call your Helpdesk and provide ID shown on the screen
5) ATMdesk/Remote connects automatically to your Helpdesk
6) Helpdesk engineer "sees" and tests the machine remotely
The person on site may assist if necessary by inserting a card, checking printouts, etc. which might require a second telephone connection to your Helpdesk. If you'd like to join our team of Beta-Testers, pls click here.
ATMdesk/Repair in the Field
We have a number customers who are using ATMdesk/Repair in  the field to diagnose NCR ATMs. Here is the rationals for using ATMdesk/Repair in the field:
If the ATM boots only from the HDD and you have no access to the BIOS to change this, ATMdesk/Repair is a good option to test this machine: simply connect your LapTop via USB-to-SDC Adapter to any free SDC connector in the ATM and diagnose the SDC devices in this machine from your LapTop.
You may also wish to connect only one SDC device (e.g. only the dispenser) to eliminate the influence of all other divices and test only the dispenser...
If you have our USB-to-SDC Adapter, please give it a try, if not, please contact us for a sample USB-to-SDC Adapter to test ATMdesk/Repair in the field too.
