Sheree's favorite Christmas cookie |
|
As a child, my favorite Christmas treat was Mom's chocolate balls. She made them ahead of time and froze them until company was coming. My sister and brothers and I would then sneak into the freezer and help ourselves. Thankfully, Mom pretended not to notice the half empty tins! And don't be horrified, I know some of you have done the same thing!
To make: in a double boiler melt 2 squares unsweetened chocolate. Add 1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk, 2 1/3 cups graham crumbs and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Keeping fingers a bit wet, pinch off a bit of dough, wrap it around a glace cherry, then roll it in icing sugar. There is enough dough for a 14 ounce container of cherries. Merry Christmas!! |
