The End of the Season...

The windows are boarded up, the water is drained and all the doors are locked.  The end of another great season!  Thanks to all who stayed with us this year.  We sincerely appreciate your business and friendship.

Thanks to all who either brought or referred new guests to Duck Bay Lodge this summer;  we are grateful for your loyalty and confidence in us.  Our best source of advertising has long been our guests.  As our way of saying thank you, for every new (adult) guest you either bring or refer, we issue you with a $75 gift certificate to be used on your next trip.  Gift certificates will be mailed in just a few days.

Biggest Fish of 2011...

Duane Kaiser's 29 1/2 inch walleye
Another great year of fishing is over.  And here are the final results for the biggest fish of 2011...

Northern pike:  Bruce Wasson (Yorkville, IL), a 42 inch

Muskie:  Kevin Boyd (Elmhurst, IL), a 51 inch

Bass:  Bob Wahlbeck (St. Charles, IL), a 20 inch

Walleye:  two guests caught a 29 1/2 inch:
     Ben Harrell (Marietta, GA) and
Duane Kaiser (Bemidji, MN)  (pictured at left).

 Tom Moran's 39 inch northern

Dave & Sheree:

Our walleye and perch have arrived safely home and we look forward to reliving the wonderful time we had every time we enjoy a fish dinner.

I thought I would share this photo of Tom and his 39 inch northern.  What a moment it was when (guide) Bryan had to pull out his tape measure since the boat chart was too short.  So far that is the largest fish Tom has ever caught.

I can't thank all of you enough for helping make this a dream vacation for us, with all the extra care taken to get us around safely.  Now that Tom has outfished me, I definitely must return to look for a bigger fish.  Wishing you a great year until we can meet again.
