West Side Lights Fundraising Goal Set
Hartford, WI - A group of Hartford baseball boosters and community baseball supporters has set a goal to raise $30,000 to help the City of Hartford offset the cost of lights to be installed on the baseball field at West Side Park. The goal is to have the lights in place by the beginning of the 2012 spring season, with pole installation to begin in February.
Last August, Hartford baseball lost one of its biggest advocates in Kenny Kluck. Kenny will always be remembered for his 17 years of service to the HUHS Baseball team and the Hartford Hawks. Kenny touched the lives of many young men while on the baseball field at West Side. His dream and goal was to have lights installed at the West Side Park baseball field. To that end, the West Side Lights Project Team is appealing to community businesses, families, and individuals to help meet the $30,000 goal in any of the following ways:
Business and Family Banners: Businesses and families can purchase a 5x8 banner to be displayed on the outfield fence at West Side baseball diamond, located on HWY 60, for all spectators to see. Three levels of commitment are: One Year - $350, Three Year - $1000, Five Year - $1500, plus a one-time cost of the banner. Banners will be displayed each year at the beginning of the HUHS Baseball season (April) and remain up until the end of the Hartford Hawks season (October). All banners will be returned to the business at the end of their contract agreement.
West Side Lights Donation - Booster Sponsorships: All donors will be recognized at West Side Park on a "Recognition Plaque" located near the concession stand for the life of the park. Booster Sponsorships are at five levels: POLE SPONSOR ($5000), HOMERUN ($2500), TRIPLE ($1000), DOUBLE ($500), SINGLE ($250). Donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off at Westbury Bank in Hartford or sent to WEST SIDE LIGHTS PROJECT 1035 Juniper Lane Hartford WI 53027.
Naming Rights to the Field: Your business name will appear on the sign on HWY 60 for the lifetime of the field. Contact Mike Hermann at the Recreation Center 262-673-8226 for more information on this very special donation opportunity.
