Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is developing a statewide rail plan that will provide a vision for freight rail, intercity passenger rail and commuter rail over the next 20 years.
The plan identifies rail network issues and recommendations. It provides the framework within which the state and stakeholders may maintain, improve and plan for the state's rail network.

WisDOT released a draft of the Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030 on October 1, 2010. A 45-day public comment period ends November 15, 2010. Please send any comments regarding the draft plan to railplan2030@dot.wi.gov. Additional information is available on the public involvement page.
Also available is a Wisconsin Rail Plan 2030 newsletter summarizing the planning process and the draft plan.
