| CAI Cares | | CAI wants to celebrate your community association's accomplishments, unique activities and events and spread the word so other community associations can use your great ideas. Once a quarter, we'll honor the best of the best with special awards and recognition for the community and the submitting party. Share your story |
|
Educated Business Partners | |
CAI has created a new online course for vendors and service providers new to the community association industry. "Business Partner Essentials" is a half-day online course in two parts. Module 1 is an introduction to the industry, and Module 2 is a panel of experts discussing topics like ethics, contracting, the legal environment, and insurance. The course is open to anyone, but service providers who are also members of CAI are known as "CAI Business Partner Members," and if they take this course and pass the exam they will have the distinction of being a "CAI Educated Business Partner Member." This is not a certification or designation, but a distinction of CAI membership, and applies to the individual passing the course, not to their entire company. The course is $99 for CAI members and $199 for non-members, and includes an online exam and a certificate of completion. More information can be found here. |

Homeowner Hotline | | The Greater Houston Chapter of the Community Associations Institute (CAI)has launched the free HOA Hotline, which is a resource for homeowners owning homes/units in condominium, townhome and subdivision community associations and have questions about the operations of their association.
The Hotline is staffed with local non-attorney experts knowledgeable in community association best practices. Homeowners can contact the Hotline by calling 832/251-1874, or via email at hoahotline@caihouston.org
We urge homeowners to take advantage of this free resource. After all, isn't it better to resolve issues quickly and reasonably now before they get out of hand later? |

Greater Houston Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI) is offering a program that matches business partners with board members and management companies. The primary objective of the Panel of Experts is to educate homeowners, board members and management personnel in the countless aspects of community association operations that directly affect the success or failure of a community.
