The Community Spotlight Radio Show airs Friday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on 650 AM
Joining us this week will be Gidget Swift, from the American Red Cross, and doctors from The Methodist Hospital System to discuss the importance of learning CPR to keep your family and friends safe. Over 80% of all cardiac arrests occur in the home, you are most likely to perform CPR on loved ones. The quicker a victim is given care, the greater their chances of survival are. Our guests will discuss current CPR training methods, and also how to use an automated external defibrillator, which can be found in public buildings like schools, libraries, and airports. This AED is used to shock the heart of someone experiencing cardiac arrest, and will increase the victim's chances of survival by 50-75% chance of being resuscitated if a shock is administered to the heart within 5 minutes of collapsing. Training is available in the Methodist Training Center (the Texans Practice Bubble) on Saturday, February 12, 2011.
So, get your questions ready and join in the discussion on CBS 650Talk Radio, 650 on your AM dial from
2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Friday, January 28.
Do you have an interesting ideas for the radio show?
The Radio Committee would like to hear from you.
If you have questions about the show, advertising or to join the Radio Committee, call Committee Chair Dwayne Lowry, CMCA, AMS at 832-515-007
