Calling all singers! Throughout the summer months the choir is open to all who wish to join. The only requirements to join in are an ability to read music and some previous choral experience. Any who wish to sing with the choir need only gather in the choir room at 9 AM on Sundays (be prompt!) where the music for the 10 AM liturgy will be learned and rehearsed. Whether it is for a single Sunday or for the whole summer, singing with the Summer Choir is an excellent way to participate in our worship. The Summer Choir will run June 10 through September 2.

Episcopal City Mission: SAVE THE DATE!!!
Celebrate summer at Episcopal City Mission's annual family fun picnic! This community event is fun for all ages and benefits kids in detention through Episcopal City Mission. ECM provides chaplains to children in the St. Louis City and County detention centers and Lakeside residential center. In a very real sense, the chaplains are the compassionate face of a loving God in the lives of children who are in trouble and frequently have no one to whom they can turn.

When:  Friday, June 22
Time:   5:30-8:30 PM
Where:  Grace Episcopal Church - Kirkwood

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for kids ages 5-12. Admission includes live music featuring board members Rev. Brooke Myers and Bill Wolff, dinner, beverages and the opportunity to bid on silent auction items including World Champion Cardinals tickets!

For tickets, please call Episcopal City Mission at 314.436.3545, e-mail info@ecitymission.org or contact your local parish representative.

The Servers' Guild

The Servers' Guild provides a unique opportunity for students from 6th through 12th grades to participate in the Sunday liturgies and gain a deeper appreciation for our traditions and style of worship. If you would like to join a group of young people who are dedicated to enhancing the worship experience at CSMSG, contact Fr. Mike Wheeler.

Altar Guild
We invite you to deepen your spiritual life and connection to the liturgy by becoming a member of the Altar Guild. This ministry is dedicated to the service of God by lovingly preparing the altars. Canterbury Bookstore
Canterbury Bookstore during Len
Father's Day, Birthdays, Anniversaries or Hospitality gifts...there's always a good reason to shop the Canterbury Bookstore. Make time today to stop by and see all the wonderful items and books that are offered by the Canterbury Bookstore. Christian-designed jewelry, St. Michael & St. George logo items, inspirational cards and stationery, Bible study aids and appropriate gifts for every occasion. New items arriving each week. Be sure to drop by and take a look or call 314.721.1502.

Investigate Red Sea Rules by Robert J. Morgan, which reveals, even in the midst of seemingly impossible situations, God's promise to make a way for us. His loving guidance will protect us through danger, illness, marital strife or financial problems.

Blessed Art Thou by Michael McGarth is a lovely gift for anyone's mother. McGarth's paintings in this collection are a result of his loving fascination with Madonnas. Combined with poetic and candid prayers, these images speak to all people who search for meaning and joy in a troubled world. They speak, too, to the artistic and creative soul in each of us. A beautiful and meaningful gift to be enjoyed for days to come.

A wonderful gift for the new baby in the family is Baby's First Book of Prayers.  Lovingly illustrated and a treasure of first prayers for your little one.

Be sure to take a look at The Episcopal Handbook.  It's the indispensable companion for anyone who wants to be a well-informed churchgoer and wouldn't mind having a good chuckle along the way.

A major new series of guides for everyone to the New Testament is available in Canterbury Bookstore. Making use of his scholar's understanding, yet writing in an approachable and anecdotal style, Tom Wright manages to unravel the great complexity of the books of the New Testament. Wright has undertaken a tremendous task: to provide guides to all the books of the New Testament, and includes them with his own translation of the entire text. The series is suitable for group study, personal study or daily devotions. Available in Canterbury Bookstore for $15.

Sacred Doorways: A Beginner's Guide to Icons by Linette Martin is for those who wish they understood more about icons. Martin explains the history of icons, the materials and techniques used in creating them, and the visual language of icons. But beyond providing a historical and artistic background, Martin also writes as a fellow spiritual pilgrim, enriching our understanding of the Orthodox spirituality that is celebrated and expressed through this ancient art form.

Bookstore hours: Sunday 8:30-11:30 AM, Monday 10 AM-noon, Thursday 10 AM-3 PM, Friday 8:30 AM-noon
