Growing In Generosity
Stewardship Campaign 2011

Jan Mokwa

Growing in Generosity logoLast Sunday's testimonial from Jan Torrisi-Mokwa reflected on Jan's
thought process for making a financial pledge to The Church of St. Michael & St. George. "As I fill out my pledge card this year, I will be reflecting on the abundance in my life, the ways to deepen my spiritual growth, and how I can better serve others." Jan went on to say, "Contributing financially to The Church of St.
Michael & St. George is an annual discipline I choose to honor. CSMSG is a catalyst for helping me deepen my understanding of God's Word and will, and provides guidance on how to strengthen my relationship with God. I think of my giving to CSMSG as a thank you note to God. Giving to CSMSG ensures that I have tools and resources to connect with the Divine."

Calling All Cantors
Beginning in October we have incorporated the singing of the Psalm into the weekly celebration of The Holy Eucharist at 5:30 PM in St. George's Chapel. The Psalms will be sung antiphonally, between cantor and congregation, as we have been doing, and will continue to do, on Sunday mornings.

Toward this end, a Cantor's Guild is forming which will be responsible for the leadership of the singing at the 5:30 PM Eucharist each Sunday. Participation in this ministry will be on a volunteer basis and it is a wonderful and meaningful way to serve as a leader in worship and liturgy. The frequency of responsibility for services will depend directly on the number of those who participate.

Any who are interested in participating in this ministry, please call Robert Lehman at the church or email him at rwlehman@csmsg.org.
