Music
 CSMSG Youth Choir The
CSMSG Youth Choir is more than just another activity to fill up a young
person's weekly schedule. Participation in the musical life of the
church is one of the best ways to learn about the liturgy, become active
in worship, gain a sense of responsibility, experience spirituality and
form commitments and friendships in serving God and others. We welcome
your interest and challenge you and your family to become active members
of this ministry as we seek to intensify the awe and mystery of the
liturgy. Choristers learn the basics of music reading, theory,
vocal production, liturgy and music history. Great emphasis is placed on
the understanding of the meaning of the music. In addition to working
hard, the life of a chorister is also very rewarding and fun. The choir
is open to all girls grades 3 through 12 and all boys (with unchanged
voices) in grades 3 through 7. It is never too late to join the choir;
we are always willing to welcome newcomers.
Parents of interested children should contact Christi John Bye, the Director of Youth Choirs at 314.721.1502 or cbye@csmsg.org.
