Music Summer Singing Opportunity Once
again, this summer we will form an adult parish choir to sing the 10 AM
liturgy each Sunday morning. Every Sunday through September 5, the
parish choir will meet promptly at 9 AM in the choir room to prepare the
music for the morning liturgy. Some choral experience is desirable and
ability to read music is necessary. There is no expectation of an
ongoing commitment; singers may join us for the entire summer or just
one week. If you like to sing and would enjoy contributing to the
parish's worship in this way, please join us!

CSMSG Youth Choir The
CSMSG Youth Choir is more than just another activity to fill up a young
person's weekly schedule. Participation in the musical life of the
church is one of the best ways to learn about the liturgy, become active
in worship, gain a sense of responsibility, experience spirituality and
form commitments and friendships in serving God and others. We welcome
your interest and challenge you and your family to become active members
of this ministry as we seek to intensify the awe and mystery of the
liturgy. Choristers learn the basics of music reading, theory,
vocal production, liturgy and music history. Great emphasis is placed on
the understanding of the meaning of the music. In addition to working
hard, the life of a chorister is also very rewarding and fun. The choir
is open to all girls grades 3 through 12 and all boys (with unchanged
voices) in grades 3 through 7. It is never too late to join the choir;
we are always willing to welcome newcomers.
Parents of interested children should contact Christi John Bye, the Director of Youth Choirs at 314.721.1502 or cbye@csmsg.org.

Please help fill the increasing need for canned and packaged food in the St. Louis Food Pantries. Any varieties of canned and dried foods are greatly needed. The supply of canned foods is extremely low. Help is needed now. Soap, laundry or dish detergent, toilet paper, tissues and paper towels would also be welcome. Summer is an especially needful time due to the lack of school meal programs. Pick up a yellow bag near the receptionist's desk, fill the bag with this month's items and return it to the church or bring your donation in any box or bag. Can you help in other ways? Contact Becky Zaccarello 314.721.4565.
