through
Friday, July 23 Youth Chorister Camp Director: Christi Bye (Ages 5-13) Building on the great success of last
Summer's camp, your
young singer will learn the fundamentals of music through choral
singing, movement, rhythmic games and crafts. The campers will prepare a
program to be performed at 11 AM, Friday, July 23, for their families
and friends. The Boy and Girl Choristers of the youth Chorister Camp
will rehearse and sing together for five days. In addition to working
hard, the life of a chorister is also very rewarding and fun and hard
work will be interspersed with fun activities. Participation in the
Chorister Camp will promote self-discipline, healthy self-esteem and an
ability to communicate articulately in the context of a group activity.
Choristers will enjoy learning musical skills, vocal skills, and general
rehearsal techniques.

Youth Ministry

Thank you to all who participated in our Middle School and High School Mission weeks. Both were wonderfully successful and we appreciate the hard work and dedication of those who planned, participated in, and volunteered during these weeks! If you are interested in helping plan these for 2011 please e-mail Marty at youth@csmsg.org. Watch the bulletin board for photos! Rising 10th-12th grade girls are invited to join a HS Girl's Bible Study that meets weekly on Tuesday mornings for breakfast before school during the school year. Any interested rising 10-12th grade girls are invited to e-mail Marty Chapman at youth@csmsg.org for more information! Wednesday Night Bible Study and dinner will NOT be held in July. We will resume August 4. Sunday School for all 6th-12th graders meets every Sunday in the Davis Courtyard from 9:30-10:00 AM. We would love to have you join us to read and discuss the Gospel for the day.

Hunger Ministry Food Levels Critical Please help fill the increasing need for canned and packaged food in the St. Louis Food Pantries. Any varieties of canned and dried foods are greatly needed. The supply of canned foods is extremely low. Help is needed now. Soap, laundry or dish detergent, toilet paper, tissues and paper towels would also be welcome. Summer time is especially needful due to less school meal programs. Pick up a yellow bag near the receptionist's desk, fill the bag with this month's items and return it to the church or bring your donation in any box or bag. Can you help in other ways? Contact Becky Zaccarello 314.721.4565.

Altar Guild We invite you to deepen your spiritual life and connection to the liturgy by becoming a member of the Altar Guild. This ministry is dedicated to the service of God by lovingly preparing the altars for services. Many hands are needed, weekdays and Sundays, to care for the linens, candles and silver. Contact Betsy Panke: 314.993.6487 or epanke@aol.com.
Summer Singing Opportunity Once again this summer we will form an adult parish choir to sing the 10 AM liturgy each Sunday morning. Every Sunday through September 5, the parish choir will meet promptly at 9 AM in the choir room to prepare the music for the morning liturgy. Some choral experience is desirable and ability to read music is necessary. There is no expectation of an ongoing commitment; singers may join us for the entire summer or just one week. If you like to sing and would enjoy contributing to the parish's worship in this way, please join us!
Pre-primary enrollment has begun for fall of 2010 We are currently accepting applications for our parish's two pre-primary programs: 18 months-2 years on Thursday and Friday mornings from 8:30-11:30 AM and 2-3 years on Monday through Wednesday mornings from 8:30-11:30 AM. Both classes are taught by degreed teachers and have proven quite successful since their inception. For more information, call Carol at 314.721.1502.
Welcome People Needed Can you walk to the Great Hall, drink coffee and make small talk? If the answer is YES, then you can be a Greeter! Call or email Laurie Brown at 314.721.1502 or Laurie@csmsg.org to sign up for one Sunday a month.
