Sounding Sessions: The Future of Washington Park

This Week in the Park
October 17 - October 21, 2011
- Rebar and forms for upcoming lid pours in garage were installed and waterproofing of the northwest corner of the existing roof began. Construction of the northwest portal landing continued. Wall forms continued to be set for the Elm Street ramp.
- Construction of the pump room continued.
- The flooring in the restroom building was complete and installation of the drywall ceilings began. Plumbing fixtures were installed.
- In the playground, the installation of the main play feature was complete. The installation of sub grade padding began and the stone landscaping installation continued.
- The porphyry band installation surrounding the bandstand continued.
- In the south area, plantings continued to be placed. The lime stone curb along Elm and 12th streets continued to be set as well as the grave memorial.

Next Week in the Park October 24 - October 28, 2011 - The rebar and form installation continues for the final garage roof pour as well as the waterproofing for the complete roof sections. Back fill continues along the south garage wall as well as waterproofing installation along the double sided wall. The wall pours for the Elm Street ramp continue. Steel installation will begin in the northwest portal.
- The construction of the pump room continues.
- Continue to install the drywall ceiling in the restroom building.
- The safety curb will be placed in the playground area.
- Porphyry installation around the bandstand continues.
- The planting continues in the south area of the park.
