Sounding Sessions: The Future of Washington Park

This Week in the Park
October 10 - October 14, 2011
- The eighth garage lid pour was made this past week. Rebar and forms continued to be set up for the remaining pours. In the northwest portal, stairwell landings continued to be constructed as well as blocking installation. Continued to set up wall forms for the Elm Street ramp.
- The pump room, located directly south of the garage, continued to be constructed.
- The floors were installed in the restroom building.
- Installation of the porphyry work around the bandstand continued.
- Landscaping in the playground area was installed. The sand pit continued to be installed as well as the foundation work for the sand stone plinths.
- Continued placement of all plantings in the dog park.
- Began the setting of the grave memorial in the south side and continued to place limestone walls along Elm and 12th streets.

Next Week in the Park October 17 - October 21, 2011 - Rebar and form installation will continue for the remaining garage roof pours and the ninth pour will take place. The back fill along the south garage wall will continue as well as waterproofing for the double sided walls. Steel work will begin in the northwest portal. Continue pouring the ramp walls for the Elm Street ramp.
- The pump room will continue to be built and the first concrete slab will be poured.
- The glass store front of the restroom building will be installed.
- Porphyry installation around the bandstand will continue.
- The safety rubber curb in the playground area will be installed.
- In the south area, the under drain installation will continue as well as planting and sod prep.
