Sounding Sessions: The Future of Washington Park
 

Please join Bill Donabedian of 3CDC and share your input about future programming in the newly renovated Washington Park. The evening will feature networking, as well as breakout sessions for brainstorming.  There is a total of three sessions and space is limited, so sign up today! The dates are September 29, October 13 and October 27 from 5:30 to 7pm at various locations.

This Week in the Park
  September 12 - September 16, 2011
  • In the garage this week the second section of the roof was poured. Rebar and forms for upcoming roof pours continued. In the lower levels of, conduit installation continued and fire protection installation began.  Waterproofing the south garage wall continued and the southwest wall was poured.The foundation for the Race Street entrance ramp was installed.
  • Electrical lines were installed in the restroom building.
  • The porphyry installation continued around the bandstand.
  • The castle was delivered and installed in the playground.  
  • In the south end, preparation for planting beds and irrigation installation work continued. The foundation blocks for the limestone wall on Elm Street were poured.

Next Week in the Park
September 19 - September 23, 2011
  • Next week in the garage, rebar continues to be tied for the upcoming roof pours and the forms continue to be installed. In the lower level, plumbing and electrical work will continue. Masonry work will begin.  Backfill along the south garage wall will continue and waterproofing installation on the doubled sided walls will continue.
  • Drywall for the ceiling of the restroom building will be installed as well as the glass store front. 
  • In the playground area, sidewalks will be poured and the installation of the playground safety surface will begin.  
  • Throughout the south end, sidewalks will be formed and poured.  The irrigation and preparation for sod will continue.
