WASHINGTON PARK UPDATE

Notice

  • Beginning Tuesday, May 31st, 14th Street between Elm and Race streets will be closed to through traffic in the mornings around 7:30am for streetscape renovations.  It will be "soft" barricaded so residents will have access to their property.  The street will reopen every evening for all traffic, roughly around 4pm. This work will take approximately four to five weeks.

  • Under-drain installation south of bandstand continued
  • Waterproofing places along Race Street
  • Concrete block and limestone installation at restroom building
  • Layout of the playground footers
  • Inner concrete curb poured at bandstand
  • Double sides wall poured at the southwest elevator for garage
  • Internal plumbing installation in restroom building
  • 13th Street ramp graded and filled with compacted gravel
  • Pile caps for interior garage ramp on lower level complete
  • Installed electric conduit sleeves in garage along Race Street

  • Continue utility work in the south end of the park
