Milestone in the Park

 

  • Excavation has reached the bottom depth of the garage near Elm Street where the ramp will be located 
  • This Week in the Park
      February 14 - 18, 2011

    • Completed tie-back installation along entire perimeter of retaining wall
    • Began final stages of lagging board installation to 30 feet deep (bottom of hole)
    • Continued mass excavation throughout the site
    • Began preparing the site to begin auger cast pile installation at 30 feet deep - required for garage foundation work
    • Removed and transported perimeter limestone walls for restoration
    • Removed historic entry columns near 13th Street for restoration
    • Delivered drywell casings and materials to the site to begin drywell drilling and installation
    • Began removal and restoration of perimeter limestone wall along Race Street

    Next Week in the Park
    February 21 - 25, 2011

    • Continue 2nd lift of mass excavation to 30 feel deep (final depth)
    • Continue lagging board installation to final depth elevation
    • Deliver drywell drilling equipment and crane to south end of site - begin installation weather permitting
    • Continue removal of perimeter limestone wall for restoration
    • Begin auger cast pile installation starting with test piles on the west side near Music Hall
    • After test pile installation - begin placing auger cast piles at the Elm St. garage entrance ramp
