Blessing Awarded Employer of the Year
The AAIM Employer's Association announced at its Strategic Directions Conference today that Blessing Health System is the 2010 Employer of the Year Award winner in the more than 250 employees category.

AAIMEA was formed in 2009 from a merger between the Peoria based Employer's Assocation and St. Louis based AAIM Employer's Group. Together they serve more than 500,000 employees through 1,600 member organizations. Blessing was chosen from these member organizations as an outstanding employer which recognizes their 2,800 employees as their greatest asset.

The awards program looks for employers that work with imagination and conviction to create organizational value and business results through their policies and best practices in human resource management.

Blessing's unique "peer interview teams" set them apart. By using potential colleagues to interview qualified candidates, Blessing was
able to increase employee satisfaction, employee retention and decrease recruitment and hiring costs.

Blessing Corporate Services, formed in 1983, is the parent company of the System whose affiliates are:

  • Blessing Hospital, Quincy, IL, - a MAGNETŪ hospital.
  • Illini Community Hospital, Pittsfield, IL; - a Critical Access Hospital.
  • Blessing Physician Services - a multi-specialty practice group consisting of over 40 physicians in 16 specialty areas.
